Emily is an Economist, with an MA In Economics from Makerere University. Currently the Head of Policy and Research at CRIID Consults Uganda, a Consulting firm that Majors on Research as a Policy Advocacy tool, among others.
She is a 2017 Mandela Washington Fellow of Public Management at the Arizona State University, U.S.A. She also sits on the Regional Advisory Board of the Fellowship as a member, representing East and Central Africa.
Emily served the Uganda government for 10 years: three years as Assistant Secretary at the State House, and seven years in the Office of the President as Deputy Resident District Commissioner. She does editorial work across the globe on a private consultancy basis (mainly online).
